The 11th
Annual Heartland Nationals once again lived up to its billing as one of the
premiere events of the sand drag racing season. Despite dodging rain drops a
few times throughout the weekend, a good time was had by all and the racing
action was intense. Let’s take a look at some photos taken by NSDN Editor Tom

Scott Carroll topped the tough Top Alcohol class to take home the BIG money.

Terry Glasscock (Near Lane) took home the Top Eliminator class win to Missouri.
Jackie Stidham was the winner of the Q16 Cars class on Friday night.
Mark Ratliff (Near Lane) won the Quick 16 Quads class on Friday night and took home a runner-up in the Pro 1 Quads Sunday class making his trip from California pay off.
Steve Foster was another of the California contingent to have a great weekend, finishing runner-up in the Pro 1 Cars class on Sunday.
Rod Trower had an impressive showing in Atoka making it to the semi-finals of Top Alcohol.
Joyce Risher had a heart breaker of a weekend with her "Black Magic" dragster, qualifying solidly in the Top Eliminator class then suffering chassis damage that would take her out of eliminations.
David Hauser looked solid all weekend with tuning help from the Strasburg's (B&J Transmissions).
Willie Wall's dragster from Texas had a good showing on Sunday with a semi-final round finish.
Waylon Wimberly had a good showing qualifying #1 in the Quick 16 Cars class on Friday night.
Jeff Sieg made the haul from the KC area with his brother Stacy, both running in the Top Eliminator class with Jeff bringing home a runner-up finish.
Billy Morris and the Two Dolla' Bill crew worked hard all weekend long making a good showing in the Top Alcohol class.
Mark Punos qualified #2 in TE with a 2.991.
Keith Ahart ran his "Second Urge" dragster and his Pro 1 Quad at Atoka.
