tbjeeplead10.jpgFall is upon us, and the weather is going down hill here in MI, but the sand drag racing season is hitting full swing as we head towards the final three months of 2010. So far in September, NSDN has been on-site at a couple of local events, the Winner’s Circle Weekend race at West Michigan Sand Dragway as well as the MSBA Hill Climb at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. If you have not been to the Photo of the Week/Showcase Video page yet, do navigate over there for some amazing footage from the Hill Climb. This even brings about some of the wildest shots we see all season long.

 Coming up next for NSDN is another local race September 18 at WMSD again, where I will run my last race in the Jeep for the season. With a hectic summer, this will only be my fourth outing of the season, but it has been a successful year with several final round finishes. The next weekend NSDN will be at Ionia Sand Drags in Ionia, MI for their Double Header event, which is also the track’s Season Finale. This should be another great MI shootout. From there, I’ll be heading to Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO for the rescheduled Show-Me Fall Nationals. TVSD has been snake bitten all season with horrible weather & once again, they got hit on the originally scheduled date in September. Our fingers are crossed for some dry weather & awesome air for the early October date, records could be set on this hard hooking race track.

In 2010, the Pro Truck Nationals series put on a great show everywhere the series went. The Season Finale at Big River Sand Drags in August saw a massive turnout & an amazing conclusion to the season. But the PTN guys aren’t just sitting still right now. Rich and the crew are reviving the Show Me The Money race from years past, and heading to Little Sandy Raceway in Grayson, KY on October 15-16. This should be a great race with lots of money on the line and what should be excellent air for fast times. Stay tuned for a race flyer for what promises to be one you won’t want to miss. NSDN will be on-site with coverage of this one.

Finishing out the rest of our 2010 NSDN race coverage schedule are west coast events at Dome Valley Raceway October 23-24 as well as November 5-7 at Kingman, AZ. These races look to be a great conclusion to an unforgettable sand drag racing season. We do have NSDN Daily Race Coverage sponsorships available for all of the aforementioned events. As you may have noticed, we have refreshed the NSDN banner at the top of the page. NSDN will continue to strive to be the leading source of Sand Drag Racing news in the U.S. The site’s growth and increase in readership is a positive sign for the sport as a whole. By the time it’s all said in done in 2010; NSDN will have done 14 Daily Race Coverage events at 10 tracks in 6 states. This is a great accomplishment, and I’d like to personally thank everyone who has made this possible.
