The 2012 BAD Nationals at Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO wrapped up on Saturday night as racers went all out for the event victories. In the Top Eliminator battle, the Turbo entries bested the Blown Alcohol Dragsters as Mike Smith took the win with his Turbo 4-cylinder Dragster over the Blown Alcohol V8 of Marc Luce. On the other hand, in the Pro 1 Cars class the V8’s emerged victorious with Texas racer John Acker making it two wins in a row to start off the Mid-America Sand Drag Series season as he defeated Garry Mullikin in the final round. The Pro 1 Quads came down to a great final round between local racer Charlie Curtis and Texas racer James Martin. Curtis would emerge victorious in this match up. Other big winners on the night included Randy Michaels (Pro 2 Cars), Jamie Winsor (Pro 2 ATV), David Risher (Sport Comp), and Craig Burgess (Sport ATV). *Run Sheets are now posted!!! 6-18-12*

Day 1 of racing action is complete at Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO as they host the Mid-America Sand Drag Series with the BAD Nationals. Qualifying in Top Eliminator saw the 4-cylinder Dragsters show up the Blown Alcohol cars as Mike Smith ran a great 2.958 to top the qualifying sheet. Fellow 4-cylinder racer Jack Monroe currently sits second with a 2.995. The V8 guys got the upper hand in the Pro 1 Cars class as Bill White defeated Ed Bunch in an all-Chevy V8 final round. Rick Lovelace emerged victorious in a tough Pro 1 Quads class defeating James Martin in the final round. Other winners on the night included Rick Hatfield (Pro 2 Cars), William Austin (Pro 2 ATV & Sport ATV), and David Risher (Sport Comp).
