National Sand Drag News - NEW National Sand Drag News (NSDN) is an online magazine covering the sport of sand drag racing. NSDN’s full array of up to the minute news and race coverage can be found online at www.NationalSandDragNews.com. Here is a brief explanation of what NSDN covers. The fast growing motor sport of sand drag racing consists of race cars that are very similar to their asphalt drag racing counterparts racing down 300 feet long (100 yard) tracks with a sand/dirt surface. The headliners of the show are the Nitro-burning Top Fuel dragsters that cross the finish line in under 2.5 seconds and reach speeds in excess of 160 MPH. Although the Top Fuel cars are the headliners of the show, multitudes of grass roots bracket racers compile the largest racer group in the sand. NSDN focuses on the hottest properties in sand drag racing, including coverage of the Pro Truck Nationals (PTN) series and other large independent events. Other large independent races across the country are also covered. NSDN covers these events with live race updates, race results, news, features, race videos, and photos. https://nsdn.us/index.php 2024-07-16T02:53:16+00:00 National Sand Drag News editor@nsdn.us Joomla! - Open Source Content Management NSDN Daily Race Coverage - NSDA Primm Apr '07 2007-04-16T18:33:37+00:00 2007-04-16T18:33:37+00:00 https://nsdn.us/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=40&catid=18&Itemid=41 Administrator editor@nsdn.us

Sunday

The final day of action at the Primm Valley Resorts NSDA event produced some excellent racing. The head line read, “Eric Medlen hurt in testing crash”. The story was brief, because the incident had happened not long before the story was posted. A condensed version goes something like this; “Eric Medlen, driver of one of John Force Racings AA/FC Mustangs, was severly injured during testing this afternoon. Eric was airlifted from Gainsville Raceway following a crash during which at the top end of a run. The car got loose, went left, then crossed the race track and impacted the opposite retaining wall head on.”
BY: ISAAC DEHAAN

I was all set to submit my column for the latest issue of NSDN when Monday evening just before we sat down to a family supper I noticed a new head line on another racing website that I frequent.
