The final day of racing at the 2009 NSDA Dan Chittenden Fall Nationals in Primm, NV came to a record breaking conclusion on Sunday. Scott Whipple set a new Top Fuel World Record in a final round victory with an astounding ET of 2.239. Scott’s win also clinched the 2009 NSDA Top Fuel championship. Dan Allen repeated his 2008 NSDA Fall Nationals victory taking this year’s class title. Dan had a single run in the final when Gary Mink was unable to return after being involved in a two-car crash at the top end with Nick Januik. Fortunately, both Gary & Nick emerged okay. Paul Taylor worked his way through the tough Top Eliminator class field for the victory over Jim Rossi in the final round. Also of note was Charlie Johnson doubling up by winning both the Pro 2 & Pro 3 categories on the day. Other winners were George Amos (Pro 1), Garrett Ratliff (Motorcycle Pro 1), and Randy Mings (Motorcycle Pro 2).
