Michigan July '13 Race Recap

There was some excellent racing in Michigan with the Quick 16/4th of July Shootout & Sand Nationals events in July. Rob Scheytt swept the PTN Top Fuel Revolution classes at the Quick 16 Shootout & Sand Nationals events. Rob ran Low ET of those events with his best being a 2.79 at the Sand Nats race. (Lonestar Photo)


Matt Peel in the Peel/Engel Dragonfly Buggy won the Quick 16 Shootout running a string of Low 3.5's along the way. Matt also came back for the Sand Nationals weekend and took a runner-up finish in the 3.5 Index class. (NSDN Photo)


Mark Mosher won the PTN 3.5 Index class at the 4th of July Weekend event. Mark defeated Ben Dozeman in the final round to score the win. (NSDN Photo)


Bob Kelly made a nice return to the sand by taking the PTN 3.5 Index class at the Sand Nats event. Bob also scored a runner-up finish in the Quick 16 class and a semi-final finish in Pro Cars class at this race. (Lonestar Photo)

Steve Kaupa just flat out got the job done at the Sand Nationals event in the PTN 3.95 Index Pro ATV class defeating point leader Jeff Jareo in the final in a close 4.00 to 4.06 battle. (Lonestar Photo)

Steph Bennett debuted the new Bennett Motorsports Triple Pro ATV at the Sand Nationals event on a winning note as she won the Outlaw ATV class running a best ET of 3.55. (Lonestar Photo)
