The sand drag racing community lost a star and great friend with the passing of Top Fuel racer Marcus Norris at the 2019 Season Opener. We pay our respects by posting some great photos of his 10+ years of TF racing. As anyone can attest that has met Marcus, he was a tremendous person and will be greatly missed. We send our condolences to the Norris Family & Crew in this difficult time.

National Sand Drag News has been the leader of sand drag racing coverage since its inception in 2007, covering well over 100 events at a total of 23 different venues across the United States. It’s been quite a ride, but as they say all good things must come to an end. NSDN is discontinuing at-track coverage & Live Stream for the 2019 season. The website at www.NationalSandDragNews.com will be kept active for Archival purposes, as well as having Event Info & the Classifieds section continuing to be updated through this season. NSDN has always had incredible support from sponsors and racers over the years, but the battle to secure funding for the always rising cost of travel and time away from home/business has become too much to overcome. Thank you to all of the racers, crew, sponsors and partners for the great support over the years.

The 2019 So Cal Sand Drag Association (SCSDA) Season Opener will be taking place on the weekend of March 22-24 at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA. This will be the standard SCSDA 3-day event format.
